EIT gets Virtual Welder by Lincoln Electric

Here are a few photos of the Virtual Welder machine made by Lincoln Electric that EIT was fortunate enough to have for a few days. This machine was developed by Lincoln Electric and the U.S. Army to help train soldiers in welding while saving money on material costs. The student views a Virtual Reality world under the hood that allows him to practice welding. After making the weld the machine grades the quality of the work with several categories. Pretty cool machine!
